Annual Family Day atThis is my third year celebrating something called "Independence Day" with my larger family at our annual picnic in the park. My Mommy, Daddy, Grammy, Pop-Pop, and little sister Sophia were there too. We were very excited about going this year because everybody got a chance to meet my little sister for the first time. Everybody thought that she was really cute and a lot of people took turns holding her while she was sleeping. She did open her eyes a few times but, she didn't stay awake for long!
As always, there was plenty of good food to eat, cold stuff to drink, toys to play with, and even a playground! My favorite things to do included watching the trolleys go by and playing on the bridge over the stream. There was another large family in the park and they were celebrating the holiday too. Late in the afternoon, our family played "touch football" with them and I'm happy to report that we won the game! It was a nice sunny day and everyone had a great time together.
