A New Adventure
Today, I went to Penn's Landing and a place called the "Adventure Aquarium" in Camden, NJ. I was hoping to strike out on my own but my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop had to tag along. Of course, I did need them to pay for things so, perhaps it's good that they came too.
First, we went inside something called a "museum" on the waterfront. It was a quiet place but there was a lot to see. Because my Grammy saw the Pirates of the Caribbean movie this weekend, she thought I just had to have a pirate hat from the museum gift shop. I didn't really like the hat so, she made everyone else wear it so she wouldn't have to feel like her money went to waste (whatever that means).
Next, we took a ride in something called a "ferry boat". The boat was in the biggest bathtub I've ever seen! It was SO BIG, you couldn't even see the tub...just the water. My Mommy said that we were in Philadelphia when we got on the boat but, we would be in Camden when we got off the boat.
When we got to the aquarium, it was a dark but fun place. There were lots of kids like me running everywhere and screaming. I was a little confused at first...but, then I decided to join the fun and start screaming my head off too! I saw lots of different things moving in lots of water. Some of the things I saw were bigger than me. I didn't quite know how to feel about that but, I was a "big boy" and didn't get scared (plus, my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop promised they wouldn't let anything eat me). We stopped for a quick bite in the food court and went into the aquarium gift shop. I got a new sippie cup, spoon & fork set, and some Finding Nemo bathtub toys!
After the aquarium, we got back on the ferry boat. This time, we were in Camden when we got on the boat and back in Philadelphia when we got off the boat. I had a really great time and hope to go back some day. We took lots of pics to share with you. Make sure you click on the exhibit and scenic grids so you can get up close and personal with the sites.
We hope you had a nice Memorial Day too!
Love, "The Booga"
