Aries (The Ram) is the "doer" of the sun signs, so these children are naturally enthusiastic and will spur everyone else along. Their energy is boundless and these daredevils will want to live and experience everything! They also have a strong competitive spirit and great stamina. These children will never consider being second because the "winners" podium belongs to them. They will be impatient and have a tendency to start many projects, but they lose interest long before completion. Frustration is a super-quick instinct with these children. They are easily frustrated with their own inabilities and the inabilities or lack of pace of others. No one will be in doubt about how these children feel. They will say it as they see it because there is no time for niceties. Time waits for no man and these children, unless very well trained, will wait for no man either. They can be quite temperamental, but will seldom sulk or carry a bad moment for long. As a result, they will be genuinely baffled when someone reacts to their outbursts. It is the exclusive right of their nature to throw a huff without explanation, but there is little understanding as to why anyone else should react or take any of it personally. Careful nurturing in caring, diplomacy, sensitivity, sharing, and tact will be needed, but "nurture" is the keyword. If force is used, you will be met with much rebellion. These fiery youngsters will learn better by example, so try to stifle the instinct to yell back. Simply give them a "time out" when the situation calls for it, and never for too long because these children forget quickly. It just needs to be long enough for these active children to reflect and for you to gather your wits. They need to be taught to listen and respect other people, and they do want to learn. So, start early by encouraging them to take responsibility for any disruptive behavior. Encourage them to look at the cause and effect and accept where they went wrong. One strategy is to quietly suggest an alternative for future reference. They will eventually learn to be more considerate and become easier to live with. No one will be more honest than these children will and they don't have time to stop and think about lies or deception. They speak from the cuff and give it to you straight. Also, watch for a natural sense of fun. These kids love to share a joke or a prank with you and will probably laugh at yours, even when the meaning is way beyond the thinking pattern for their age because this is their way of joining in. Competitive sports is a great way of using up some of their remarkable stamina. It will make the best use of their determination and abundant energy. It will also encourage team spirit and discipline.
