My Little Sister Is Here (Part 2)!

At the end of the day, me and Pop-Pop picked up Grammy from work and headed over to the hospital to meet little Sophia. She was s-o-o-o tiny! I can already see that she's going to need a "big brother" to look out for her and I'm just the boy for the job!

After our visit, everyone went home so that my Mommy could get some rest. She was very happy about little Sophia being here but, she was also very tired. She told me that she should be coming home with my new little sister on Sunday. Until then, I'll be hangin' out at Grammy and Pop-Pop's house!

My Mommy went to the hospital yesterday afternoon to have my little sister. My Dad is at the hospital too and I'm at my Grammy and Pop-Pop's house right now. Mommy called us on the phone at 4:30am this morning to tell us that little Sophia was here.

My little sister's first and middle names are very special because "Sophia" is my Mommy's middle name and "Ina" is my Nana's (Dad's Mom) first name. Because she was born on May 1st, Grammy said that she is something called a "Taurus" (The Bull), just like her Daddy! What in the world is that, Grammy?

Grammy is going to work today so, it's Me & Pop-Pop Day! We are planning to go and meet my little sister when Grammy gets off from work. You know that Grammy will be taking the camera so, be sure to check back later for pics of little Sophia!

One Month Later...

My Mommy Got Married!

Me and Grammy are sorry that we have been something called "missing in action" for so long. This post is a couple of weeks overdue and by the time you see and read it, many things in my life will be different.

On Saturday, April 11th, my Mommy got married to a really nice guy named, Alex. The three us are now living together in another house so, me and Mommy don't live with Pop-Pop and Grammy anymore. I also have a new little sister who is "on the way" so, I'm going to be a "big brother" pretty soon!

Grammy said that it took her a while to write this post because it was the first time that she had to do it without me being there, which made her sad. She started to write it many times but the words just wouldn't come. Also, everyone was really busy after my Mommy got married, helping us to move into our new home and getting ready for my little sister to come into the world.

I really had some great times at my Pop-Pop and Grammy's house. I probably won't remember much about the time that I spent with them but, that's why me and Grammy decided to do this blog and we had fun doing it. I'm going to miss not seeing them everyday and I know that they are going to miss me (and my Mommy) too. Even still, all of us are looking forward to "new beginnings" and enjoying the times that we can spend together in the future even more.

Me and Grammy are going to keep the blog posts coming as often as we can because I don't live that far away. We invite you to check back for more pics of the wedding and when we visit each other or go out together. And, of course, stay tuned for pics of my new little sister, after she is born. She should be arriving any day now!

The Booga Wooga Meets The Easter Bunny

We had a special visitor at day care this past Friday. Our teacher told us that his name is "The Easter Bunny". We had a lot of fun playing games with him and he also took a pic with each one of us. I forgot to say "cheese" before this pic was taken but, TEB promised that he would come back and take another pic with me again next year!

A Man Named "Dr. Seuss"

"Happy 105th Birthday Dr. Seuss!"

My Grammy told me that today is the birthday of someone special. He is known by the name "Dr. Seuss" and he wrote lots of story books for children. He was born on March 2, 1904 in a place called "Springfield, MA" and he went to sleep on September 24, 1991. Many kids have read his books over the years and they really like them a lot. I'm still too young to read just yet but, I can't wait to read all of his books myself because they sound like lots of fun!

Grammy's Trivia Questions

These famous Dr. Seuss characters are spelling out the name of a popular internet search engine that is honoring his birthday today. Can you name the search engine? If you can't figure it out, click on the image for the answer. Also, what is the title of your favorite Dr. Seuss book? You can note your answers in the comments.

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

Lord Jesus, You were never too busy to pay attention to children, for You dearly loved them. We are happy that you love us and that You have time to listen to our prayers and to answer them. We thank You that You have made us Your own. As we get bigger and stronger every day, help us to grow stronger in our faith too. Bless our parents, whom You have given to us, and help us to respect and obey them, to love and treasure them. Forgive us when we disobey them or when we fail to respect them as Your previous gifts to us. Give them the wisdom to train us in the good and right way. Bless our home and every member of our family with a strong faith in You and true love to one another. Teach us to be kind, unselfish, helpful, cheerful, forgiving, and faithful in our duties. Help us to be like You, Lord Jesus, to grow in wisdom and character and in favor with God and all people. Send Your angels to watch over us, to keep us from all harm of body and soul. Bless us, and make us a blessing to our family and friends. Amen.

Thank you for stopping by and come back again!
