A Super Weekend (Part 2)

On Sunday, Grammy and Pop-Pop decided to take me a place that they actually learned about from my Mommy, the Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse. Just like the name says, there is a large house to play in and several play areas outside. The whole place is just for kids who are 5 years old and younger to have fun and it's also one of Grammy's favorite words... something called "free".* Grammy brought her camera along so, here are some pics that we took while we were there. You can click on each of them for a larger view.

PIC #1: Fairmont Park entrance, front and side views of the playhouse, the giant slide, and several play areas outside. The giant slide was my favorite thing to do outside. Grammy and Pop-Pop took turns riding on it with me. While we were doing that, someone was having a birthday party on the side porch of the playhouse!

PIC #2: After we played outside for a while and rode on the giant slide, Grammy and Pop-Pop wanted to take a break from the hot sun so, we decided to go inside the playhouse. On the first floor, there was another house to play in and a staircase to play on in the corner. A few pics of us on the giant slide are mixed in here too!

PIC #3: Some other things that were on the first floor are a wooden train that was big enough to play on and you know how much I like trains! I also found a big book that had something called "magnetic words" on it. I could move the words around on the book anyway that I wanted to and learn how to say them. Pop-Pop was helping me with the words in the book because some of them were big words that I didn't know how to say.

PIC #4: After I did everything there was to do on the first floor of the playhouse, we decided to go up to the second floor. We found a big room up there with all kinds of toys. Shortly after we got up there, guess what I found? A Thomas, Annie, & Claribelle train on the floor and a big train table! We actually visited the second floor twice, just so that I could play with the trains again.

PIC #5: The last stop in the playhouse for us was the lower level (basement). This was also the coolest place in the playhouse. When we got down there, I found all kinds of trikes, cars, and other things to ride on. They were parked in different places around the room so that the road could be clear for something called "traffic". And, wouldn't you know it... there was even a traffic light down there too!

We had a great time at the Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse and I may be going back there again with my family later this week. It was a great ending to a fun weekend with Grammy and Pop-Pop. I did miss my little sister Sophia and I can't wait until she is big enough to have fun on these trips with me!

* Admission is free but donations are encouraged and accepted.

A Super Weekend (Part 1)

On Saturday, me and my little sister Sophia spent some "QT" just chillin' with Grammy and Pop-Pop at their house. Sophia just spent the day there and Pop-Pop took her back home around 8:00pm. I'm a big boy so, they let me spend the night... but, Grammy made me go to bed right after Pop-Pop left to take Sophia home. She said that I was a good boy but, it was just time for me to go to bed. Here are some random pics that Grammy took while we were there and you can click on them for a larger view.

A Website Resource For You...

Click here to follow Widdly Tinks on Twitter!

Last night, Grammy went to that place called the "internet" again and found a website that she thought you might be interested in visiting as well. It is called "Widdly Tinks" and it has all kinds of really neat stuff that you can make to add to Blogger, Facebook, My Space, etc. Check out some of the stuff that Grammy made for us and stop by Widdly Tinks to see what you can create. Just click on the logo image above to get there!

Trivia Question: The name "Widdly Tinks" appears to be a play on words and closely resembles the name of a famous game that has been around for many, many years. Can you name the game? If not, scroll down to see the answer and you can click on the image to learn more about the game!

TO: All Of Our Family & Friends...

Today, we celebrated our first Memorial Day holiday as a family in our new home. Some of our family and friends dropped by to visit with my parents, play with me, take turns holding my little sister, and watch a few movies. Dad was on the grill so there was plenty of good food and cold stuff to drink, Mommy was busy hosting, and Sophia slept through the whole thing! But, that's okay... after a while, even I got tired and took a nap too.

As always, Grammy brought the camera and took some pics but, this time, she decided to post them in a video (just click the play button if you want to see them). Everybody had a good time and we hope that you had a happy holiday too!

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

Lord Jesus, You were never too busy to pay attention to children, for You dearly loved them. We are happy that you love us and that You have time to listen to our prayers and to answer them. We thank You that You have made us Your own. As we get bigger and stronger every day, help us to grow stronger in our faith too. Bless our parents, whom You have given to us, and help us to respect and obey them, to love and treasure them. Forgive us when we disobey them or when we fail to respect them as Your previous gifts to us. Give them the wisdom to train us in the good and right way. Bless our home and every member of our family with a strong faith in You and true love to one another. Teach us to be kind, unselfish, helpful, cheerful, forgiving, and faithful in our duties. Help us to be like You, Lord Jesus, to grow in wisdom and character and in favor with God and all people. Send Your angels to watch over us, to keep us from all harm of body and soul. Bless us, and make us a blessing to our family and friends. Amen.

Thank you for stopping by and come back again!
