Dear Family & Friends,
It's my birthday and I turned one year old today! I am 22 lbs + 14 ozs and 30 inches long. Me and my 7 teeth are now eating all kinds of table food. It looks like another tooth (bottom) will be putting in an appearance real soon. I still drink from bottles once in a while but, I really like my sippie cups! I'm not walking on my own just yet but, I have a feeling it will happen any day now. I've taken several steps without holding on to anything or anyone...but only when I'm not thinking about it. A few days ago, I walked all the way down the hallway by myself! My Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop said they were very proud of me. I got lots of smiles, hugs, kisses, cheering, and hand clapping when I got to the end of the hallway. They all seemed so happy, I decided to join in and give myself a hand clap too. I've been standing alone and taking a few steps at day care too so, I know it won't be long before I can walk and run with all my friends. Ms. Bea and Ms. Nyeisha gave me a really nice birthday party today. It was also Ms. Nyeisha's birthday. There were lots of something called "balloons" floating around and we all had cake and ice cream. Everybody sang a song called "Happy Birthday" to me and Ms. Nyeisha...it made us feel special and we really liked it.
There's not much to report this month. We took down the Christmas tree, put all the decorations away, and celebrated the beginning of a new year. I got a chance to play in the Christmas tree box one last time before it was put away. Now that it's getting colder outside, we have been staying at home more. The air outside feels really different and it seems like I have to wear a lot more clothes when I go out. There were a couple of days when I was covered from head to toe and you could only see my eyes. A few days ago, I saw something called "snow" for the first time. I did go to the movies again...me and my Mommy went to see "Stomp The Yard." I only saw a little bit of it because I went to sleep. I guess that was a good thing because my Mommy said I was a good boy and she might take me again some time.
Well, I guess that's all for now. My Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop are all doing fine and, as always, said to tell you "hello". Look for my next update on 02/24/07. See you then!
Love, "The Booga..."
