Annual Gathering at
Smedley Park, Springfield PA
Smedley Park, Springfield PA
Today, we went to the King Family picnic. This year, we had two guests who are father and son. They came to take pics and do a special story about our family.
Now that my Mommy has a photo blog and likes to take pics all the time, she talked with them about something called "photography" so she could learn more about it.
Grammy took this pic of the son filming our family with something called a "video camera". He looked like he was very busy so, I don't think he noticed that she took his pic!
We also had another very special guest who came to the picnic. Grammy told me that his name is "Barack Obama" and he wants to be something called a "president". He took this pic with my Cousin Cookie (left) and Cousin Peanut (right).
Then, we had another special guest who showed up. Grammy told me that her name is "Hillary Clinton" and she wanted to be a "president" too but, now she can't because she didn't have enough people called "delegates" (whoever they are). That's my Great Aunt Ethel in the middle and she is very special too.
These are pics of me and some of the things I did at the picnic. It was a really B-I-G park so there was a lot of room to run and play. There were tracks going through the park too and I saw lots of "buses" go by... Grammy said that they were really something called "trolleys" but, I like anything that rides on a track! I also had my little red car with me so, Pop-Pop, Grammy, and Mommy took turns letting me ride down a hill in it. Grammy said that we were playing something called "roller coaster" and that was fun!
And, these are all the family pics. There were lots of smiles, hugs, and kisses. We had plenty of food to eat, lots of cold things to drink, and good music. There was a football game and some of the girls played a game called "double-dutch" with something called a "rope". We also took a group pic with the whole family.
It was really nice seeing everyone again and spending the day together. We had a great time and hope that your July 4th holiday was great too! Click here to see more pics at Mommy's blog!
