Booga Update 06/24/06

Hi

Dear Family & Friends,

I am 5 months old today, 18 lbs, and 26 inches long. I'm working on sitting up but what I really want to do is stand up and walk. My legs are really strong but I need to work on my upper body strength a little more! Milk is still my meal of choice but I also like water, juice, cereal, veggies, and fruit. I love going to day care and being with my new friends everyday. All of them are older than me, walking, and talking but I just enjoy watching them! Mom, Pop-Pop, and my grandmother are all doing OK and said to tell you "hello"! NO, my grandmother still hasn't pick a name for me to call her yet but keep those suggestions coming. Well, that's all for now. Look for my 6 month update on 07/24/06. In the meantime, check back for new pics coming soon. Thanks for stopping by!

"Happy Mother's Day"!

I made my first Mother's Day card in day care and signed it with my footprints. The card reads...

A Child's View Of Mother's Day

When I am big, and old, and grown
I will have children of my own.
I'll have a great big rocking chair,
And rock them while I'm sitting there.

I'll teach them colors, numbers, too,
And teach them how to tie a shoe.
When the are sick, I'll make them better.
When it is cold, they'll weat a sweater.

I'll wash their socks and underwear,
And all their meals I will prepare.
And if I have a girl or boy,
I'll play the games that they enjoy.

I will buy them what they need,
And I will teach them how to read.
I will teach them how to write,
And I'll be sure they sleep at night.

I'll teach them how to catch a ball,
And kiss their hurts if they should fall.
For every child, I'll work quite hard.
For me they'll make a Mother's Day card.
I think I'd better do that right now.

It's for my Mom. I should know how.
I'll write a card, "This is for you,
To thank you, Mom, for all you do".

I'm glad that now when you are grown,
I have you, Mom, my very own!"

Thank You, Mom!

BROTHERS & SISTERS

Siblings are the people we practice on. They teach us about
caring, cooperation, fairness, and kindness the hard way!

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

Lord Jesus, You were never too busy to pay attention to children, for You dearly loved them. We are happy that you love us and that You have time to listen to our prayers and to answer them. We thank You that You have made us Your own. As we get bigger and stronger every day, help us to grow stronger in our faith too. Bless our parents, whom You have given to us, and help us to respect and obey them, to love and treasure them. Forgive us when we disobey them or when we fail to respect them as Your previous gifts to us. Give them the wisdom to train us in the good and right way. Bless our home and every member of our family with a strong faith in You and true love to one another. Teach us to be kind, unselfish, helpful, cheerful, forgiving, and faithful in our duties. Help us to be like You, Lord Jesus, to grow in wisdom and character and in favor with God and all people. Send Your angels to watch over us, to keep us from all harm of body and soul. Bless us, and make us a blessing to our family and friends. Amen.

Thank you for stopping by and come back again!
