Thank God It's Friday!

A Day w/ My Godmother

Today I took a break from day care and spent the whole day with my Godmomie Latoya. She had a birthday recently and I was so happy that we could spend some time together. We went to one of my favorite places...the park. Aren't swings and sliding boards the best things ever? Here are some pics that she took of me and my new friends Niles, Elyce, and Nyobi. We also went to her house and I got a chance to spend some time with Godpopie Justin too.

Thank you, Godmomie Latoya...it was a fun day!

Annual SBC Cookout

Sharon Lakes
Franklinville, NJ

Today we went to the annual church cookout with our SBC family for the first time. My Mommy's friend, Marsha, went too. Sharon Lakes is a really cool place to be on hot summer day. There was so much to see and do...volleyball, basketball, tennis, swimming, horseback riding, hay rides, kiddy rides, music, good food, and water ice! There are a lot of people in the SBC family and so many kids to play with. A few of them wandered into our camp spot to meet me and say "Hi!". Everybody had on their SBC t-shirts and I had one too.
When we were at our camp spot, I played with my ball, frisbee, and "bubbles" with Grammy. I also rode all around the camp grounds in my car and watched something called a "volleyball game" with Pop-Pop. My Mommy, Pop-Pop, and Marsha took me to the lake to play in the water too and that was a lotta fun! Grammy said that Pop-Pop kinda looks like a man called "John the Baptist" in the pics but we were just splashing around and having a good time...honest! Sometimes, we did something called "just chilling" at our camp spot. I have to say that Mommy, Grammy, Pop-Pop, and Marsha seemed to enjoy that "chilling" stuff more than me. I just didn't get it....sitting still, doing nothing? I don't think so!
We had a great time and I definitely want the SBC cookout on my list of "things to do and places to go" for next year. I'll let the pics that Grammy and Mommy took speak for themselves. For more information about our church, click on the SBC logo above; to find out more about Sharon Lakes, click on the text link below the pics. Turn your speakers on before visiting the sites so you can enjoy the music!

TO: My Godmomie Latoya

This is a belated message (sing-a-long) for the best Godmother in the world..."Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear God-momie L-a-t-o-y-a, happy birthday to you! May God bless you, may God bless you, may G-O-D bless you, may God bless you!"

Now make a wish and blow out the candles..."I wish I could be there in person but, please know that I love you very much. Let's plan to do something special real soon!"

From your Godson, Elijah
(Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop too!)

King Family Picnic 2007

Happy Hat

Annual Gathering at Smedley Park
Springfield, PA

Today my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop took me to a family picnic to celebrate "Independence Day"! I think I remember going to this picnic last year when I was a baby and only 6 months old. Everybody was holding me, passing me around, and I couldn't walk or do anything. Well, I'm a big boy now and I was all over the place. What a difference a year makes!

It was good to see so many of my family members again. Some of them I haven't seen since the picnic last year. There was plenty of food and fun to go around. I saw a water ballon fight, a "Super Soaker" fight, a football game, a game of horse shoes, people jumping rope, and lots of other stuff. The highlights for me were riding in my Cousin Shawn's red car (just like the one Cousin Miles has) and playing with my ball and bubble gun. We also had a birthday party for Cousin Brandon...he turned 4 years old! We sang the "Happy Birthday" song, he made a wish, and we all helped him eat his cake!

I went on a couple of nature walks...one with Mommy and one with Pop-Pop. We went across a bridge and I saw my first stream. Me and Mommy were looking for fish but, we didn't find any. Of course, Grammy took the pics but made time to play with me and chase me around a lot. I really like a good chase...it's fun! I also spent time with my Cousin Stacy, Cousin Vincent, and Great Uncle Andy. I didn't see my Great Aunt Wanda and I want her to know that I really missed her being there. In spite of a little rain shower, a good time was had by all and here are the pics to prove it. We hope you had a happy holiday too!

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

Lord Jesus, You were never too busy to pay attention to children, for You dearly loved them. We are happy that you love us and that You have time to listen to our prayers and to answer them. We thank You that You have made us Your own. As we get bigger and stronger every day, help us to grow stronger in our faith too. Bless our parents, whom You have given to us, and help us to respect and obey them, to love and treasure them. Forgive us when we disobey them or when we fail to respect them as Your previous gifts to us. Give them the wisdom to train us in the good and right way. Bless our home and every member of our family with a strong faith in You and true love to one another. Teach us to be kind, unselfish, helpful, cheerful, forgiving, and faithful in our duties. Help us to be like You, Lord Jesus, to grow in wisdom and character and in favor with God and all people. Send Your angels to watch over us, to keep us from all harm of body and soul. Bless us, and make us a blessing to our family and friends. Amen.

Thank you for stopping by and come back again!
