There's No Place Like Home

A bag of buttered popcorn and a movie...

The Booga Wooga reviews a movie classic...

My Grammy brought home something called a "DVD" just for me. She said that it was a movie called "The Wizard of Oz". We watched it together the first time and now, I can watch it all by myself from beginning to end.

It is the story of a girl named Dorothy and her little dog that barks a lot named Toto. She lives in a place called "Kansas" with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. One day, something called a "twister" comes and blows everything all around. A window hits Dorothy on the head, she falls down on the bed, and when she wakes up, she and Toto are in a land full of color called "Oz".

While they are there, Dorothy and Toto meet a lot of little people called "munchkins", a good witch who floats in a ball, a bad witch who rides on a broom, some flying monkeys, a man called a "wizard", and three new friends... someone called a "scarecrow", someone called a "tin man", and a lion who is afraid of everything! Dorothy and Toto want to go back to Kansas and at the end of the story, they get to go home.

I really like the movie a lot. I thought that it had lots of colors and all the songs were great. If you haven't seen it yet, tell somebody in your house to go and get it, pop some popcorn, and watch it. If you like storybooks, Grammy said that they can also get a copy of the original book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum, and read it to you!

Something Called...

"Spring" Is Here!

Today, when I got home from day care and my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop came home from wherever they go all day, we all decided that it was just too nice to stay in the house. Grammy said that we all had something called "spring fever" and going out is the only way to cure it. So, Mommy came up with the idea that we take me to the park and off we went!

After the park, we went to a place called "Wendy's" to get something called a "Frosty"... and that was the perfect ending to a perfect day. I hope you got a chance to go out and enjoy this thing called "spring" too!

Another Birthday Still...

My Great Nana Faye!

Yesterday was my great-grandmother's birthday and today, we decided to pay her a visit to say "happy birthday" in person. The funny thing is, when we got there, she had some gifts for me! She gave me something called a "buoy" puzzle, 2 toy cars, and 3 storybooks. I didn't know that you're supposed to get presents when it's someone else's birthday too!

Shortly after we got there, Ms. Brenda came over to visit and wish Nana a "happy birthday" too. She said that the two of them were going on a trip to a place called "Delaware" later in the day. Here are some pics that we took at Nana's house.

Just before it was time to go home, I got a chance to spend a little time in my Nana's backyard. It's my favorite place to be whenever I visit her house because there is so much space to run and play. Today, the backyard was a little wet because it was raining earlier in the day but, that didn't matter to me... it was nice to be out there just the same.

I had a nice time at Nana's house and I hope that she enjoyed her birthday as much as I did. I also want to thank her for my gifts. I think I'm going to help more people celebrate their birthdays so I can get even more gifts! If you have a birthday coming up, just note the date, time, and place in the comments and I'll be there to collect my gifts! Smile

Siblings are the people we practice on. They teach us about
caring, cooperation, fairness, and kindness the hard way!

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

Lord Jesus, You were never too busy to pay attention to children, for You dearly loved them. We are happy that you love us and that You have time to listen to our prayers and to answer them. We thank You that You have made us Your own. As we get bigger and stronger every day, help us to grow stronger in our faith too. Bless our parents, whom You have given to us, and help us to respect and obey them, to love and treasure them. Forgive us when we disobey them or when we fail to respect them as Your previous gifts to us. Give them the wisdom to train us in the good and right way. Bless our home and every member of our family with a strong faith in You and true love to one another. Teach us to be kind, unselfish, helpful, cheerful, forgiving, and faithful in our duties. Help us to be like You, Lord Jesus, to grow in wisdom and character and in favor with God and all people. Send Your angels to watch over us, to keep us from all harm of body and soul. Bless us, and make us a blessing to our family and friends. Amen.

Thank you for stopping by and come back again!
