Here are some pics from my Pop-Pop's birthday celebration. We took him out to eat at a spot we have never gone to before called the "California Pizza Kitchen". Anyone who knows my Pop-Pop, should also know that he LOVES italian food. It was a really nice place, the food was good, and we had a great time!

Another Fun Place To Go!

America's Favorite Family Fun Park

My Great Uncle Andy & Aunt Wanda invited all of us to go with them yesterday to a really fun place called "Knoebels" in Elysburg, PA. We had to drive for a pretty good while to get there but, it was worth the trip. There were lots of people, all kinds of rides, a big campground with something called "log cabins", a large picnic area, and everything that you could ever want to eat and drink. There is another large area with holes and poles stuck in the ground called a "golf course". Grammy said that you can play a game called "golf" there but, what is it?

Anyhoo, we went to the "Kiddie Park" first when we got there. I rode on something called a "pirate ship" with my Mommy, a "balloon" ride with Pop-Pop and Grammy, and a "jet plane" ride all by myself... that was my favorite! My Mommy and Aunt Wanda got on some rides together too. They screamed a lot but, it looked like they were having a lot of fun. My Mommy's favorite ride was something called the "Sklooosh". It was a boat that rode down a hill real fast and made a big splash in the water when it got to the bottom of the ride. After Mommy and Aunt Wanda rode on that, it was time to get in the water!

We all went to another area of the park that had a "Crystal Pool", a "Kiddie Pool", and water rides. I wasn't old enough to get on any of the water rides so, Pop-Pop and Grammy stayed with me at the kiddie pool until my Mommy, Uncle Andy, and Aunt Wanda came back. At first, I wasn't sure if I wanted to get in the water at all because it was cold so, I just ran around the edge of the pool for a while until I was ready to get in it. When all of the adults came back from the water rides, everyone played with me in the kiddie pool until it was time to get something to eat. After we all had some food, we looked for more rides to get on.

By this time, it was getting dark and all of the rides had bright colorful lights that glowed in the dark. Pop-Pop and Grammy rode with me on a giant carousel... Pop-Pop rode all around the park with me on a choo-choo train... and Pop-Pop and Uncle Andy rode with me in a car. There were two really big rides at the park called "roller coasters". One was named the "Twister" and the other one was named the "Phoenix". Both of them were really fast and made a lot of noise. I couldn't get on them either because I was too little so, I just watched and waited with Pop-Pop and Grammy while Mommy, Uncle Andy, and Aunt Wanda rode on them. Then, my Mommy and Aunt Wanda got on one last ride before we left the park called the "Fandango".

Thank you Uncle Andy and Aunt Wanda for taking us with you. We really had a fun day at Knoebels and I hope that we can go back again next summer. Maybe we can stay for the weekend in one of those "log cabin" things. My Mommy, Grammy, and Uncle Andy had their cameras for this trip so, there were lots of pics taken. Here are some of the pics that Grammy took while we were there. We hope that you had a Happy Labor Day weekend too!

Booga Update 02/24/07

Dear Family & Friends,

I am 1 year + 1 month old today. Since I don't see the doc every month anymore, I guess my stats are 23 lbs.+ 30 inches long. Who cares anyway...the point is, I'm officially a "big boy" now because my top story for the month is

I Can Walk!

That's right folks...I can finally do it and it feels great! There's just no stopping me now. I'm really keeping my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop on their toes because I'm just all over the place. Look out E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G, here I come! On the day care front, I am right in the middle of all the action with my friends. No more sitting on the sidelines and just watching for me...I'm all up in the Kool-Aid, know the flava, and it's all good!

Backin' up just a little, the month didn't get off to such a great start. I had a bad chest cold for about 2 weeks. My Mommy took me to some place called "CHOP" so the doc could take a look at me. As always, I really enjoyed all the attention from the nurses. If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm a bit of a ham, you know. Anyhoo, the doc said I had the same type of cold I had in April 2006 but, I was a big boy now and could fight it off on my own without a hospital stay. And, guess what? That's just what I did.

Some other highlights this month were birthdays: My Mommy (Feb 6th) and my Great Aunt Wanda (Feb 1st). We were all planning to go to some place called the "Olive Garden" to celebrate. After I got sick, we decided to have a chinese food fest at my house instead. The food was good (I really liked the steamed rice) and we all had a great time. I'm just sorry we forgot to take some pics. Speaking of food, I am still enjoying all kinds of different table food...in fact, anytime I see anybody eating anything, I MUST have some. I'm not shy and will try just about anything once.

Some time later after I was feeling better and showed that cold just who was the boss, I went to the movies with my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop to see "Daddy's Little Girls". Of course, I can't tell you a thing about the movie because I fell asleep. But, it was nice to finally get out of the house for a while. My Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop said the movie was really good and they recommend that you see it!

The Booga & Racoon/The Name Game: I want to thank Cousin Melanie for suggesting the perfect name for the racoon my Great Aunt Wanda gave me. The name she suggests is "Bandit!" Don't you just love it? I know I do and that is going to be his name!

Well, I guess that's all for now. My Mommy and Pop-Pop are doing fine. Unfortunately, my Grammy caught my cold and is a little under the weather right now. I'm sure she will be fine in a few more days. As always, they all said to tell you "hello". Look for my next update on 03/24/06.

The Booga Report

"What's Your Name?"

Can you believe it is October already? It seems like September was only here for a minute in my house but, here's the scoop on what's been happening...

I am really keeping Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop on their toes these days. Anything and everything that is not nailed down in the house is mine-all-mine to play with! I have plenty of toys but who wants to play with those when there's TV remotes to hide (O-o-p-s!), little things called "nic-nacs" that go c-r-a-s-h when they hit the floor (O-o-p-s!), other things called "CDs" to pull off of shelves (O-o-p-s!), keys to throw in the trash (O-o-p-s!), books or magazines with pages that you can actually tear (O-o-p-s!), something called "record albums" to pull out of their covers and drop on the floor (O-o-p-s!), pots to drag out of cabinets (O-o-p-s!) and well, you get the picture. I even discovered that if you pull on something called a dresser scarf or a place mat, everything on it will come sliding toward you...and if you keep pulling it, everything will end up on the floor (O-o-p-s!). I am beginning to think that "NO!" and "STOP!" are the only words my family knows??? Just between you and me, I hear those two words a lot at day care too!!! Ms. Bea and Ms. Nyeisha told my family that I am a very "active" little boy (whatever that means). But, you'll be happy to know that in the midst of all this chaos, I actually gave my family something to smile about...

On Saturday, September 27th (mark it down), my Mommy taught me how to say my name! That's right, if you ask me "What's your name?" (and I’m in the moment), I can actually say E-L-I-J-A-H. I can also say "mama", "no", "all gone", and "tank ku". And yes, Grammy said that last word counts as "thank you"...if you disagree, talk to her about it! As for action words, I can wave "bye-bye" and my Great Aunt Wanda taught me how to give "high fives".

Despite everything you just read, my Mommy, Grammy, and Pop-Pop are all doing well and said to tell you "Hello!" My Mommy is working during the day now and we are both happy about that because we can spend more time together playing the "NO! and STOP!" game. Grammy enjoyed her birthday and vacation from blog posts. We took her to the New Delhi Indian Restaurant to celebrate her special day. Great Uncle Andy, Great Aunt Wanda, and her Mommy were there too. The food was really good and we all had a nice time. As for Pop-Pop, he was the "calm during all my storms" throughout the house and we just spent time together chillin', like we always do!

The Name Game

I would like for you to meet my new friend.

He's something called a "racoon".

My Great Aunt Wanda gave him to me.

He's really neat!

Mommy can put him in something called a "microwave" for a little while so he can keep me warm when it's cold.

She can also put him in something called a "freezer" for a little while so he can keep me cool when it's hot.

The only thing is, I don't have a name for him.
