Labor Day Weekend

Day 1: Please Touch Museum

Me and my little sister Sophia had a "Super Duper" holiday weekend and we started celebrating a little early this year. On Friday, our Mommy and Daddy took us to the Please Touch Museum. Pop-Pop and Grammy took me there once before when I was 2 years old, but this was my little sister's first time at the museum. Here are a few pics that Mommy took of us riding the carousel with Daddy and my little sister standing in front of something called a "mural" on the wall. She also made a slideshow with the other pics she took while we were there. Me and my little sister had a really great time... Mommy and Daddy had fun too!

Day 2: Smith Playground & Playhouse

On Saturday, our Mommy and Daddy made plans to have some fun on their own, so they packed us up and off we went to spend some time with Pop-Pop and Grammy. This day was also special because it was Grammy's birthday! So, she thought it would be fun if we celebrated her special day at Smith Playground & Playhouse. Me and my little sister have been there before so, we thought it was a really good idea too! We enjoyed the Giant Slide, the playground, all 3 levels of the playhouse, and the new "Tot Lot" that was built last summer. Here are some pics that Grammy took while we were there and we made sure that she had a "Happy Birthday!"

Day 3-Part I: R5 Train Ride to Paoli

We spent Saturday night at Pop-Pop and Grammy's house, so we did some fun stuff on Sunday too! First, we picked-up Mommy and she went out to breakfast with us. After we took her back home, Pop-Pop, Grammy, my little sister, and me rode over to the Overbrook train station and caught the R5 train to a place called Paoli. Anybody who knows me, should also know that I love trains! Pop-Pop and Grammy took me for a ride on the El train before, but this was the first time that me and my little sister ever rode on something called a "regional rail" train. After we got to the Paoli station, we crossed the bridge to the other side and waited for the train that would take us back to where we started. I had a great time on the R5 train and my little sister did too. I really liked watching the trains go by while we waited for the one that would take us back in the direction of home. Here are some of the pics that Grammy took of our R5 adventure.

Day 3-Part II: Bowling @ Wynnewood Lanes

After we got back to Pop-Pop and Grammy's house, me and my little sister actually fell asleep for a little while and took naps on our own. When we got up, we all went out again to a place called Wynnewood Lanes for some bowling. This was actually the second time that Pop-Pop and Grammy took me and my little sister bowling, but Grammy wasn't able to get any pics for my blog the first time because her camera wasn't working right. Well, my Mommy came to the rescue and gave Grammy a new camera for her birthday... so, she was able to take a lot of nice pics when we went this time, as well as all of the pics you see in this entire post. Pop-Pop, Grammy, and me bowled two games, while my little sister cheered all of us on and helped with the balls when they rolled back up to us. Grammy said that she was the best cheerleader ever! Here are some of the pics that Grammy took of us, in between her turns to bowl!

"Happy Labor Day!"

After we finished bowling, Pop-Pop and Grammy picked-up some of our fav foods from McDonald's and took me and my little sister back home. Tomorrow we are looking forward to spending the day with Mommy and Daddy again, chillin' and grillin'. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful Labor Day holiday too!

TO: Our Mommy & Daddy...

Love Always,
The Booga Wooga & Little Sister Sophia
(and all the gang @ the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!)

We gave our Mommy and Daddy one of the best anniversary presents ever and we didn't have to go shopping to get it! We spent the whole weekend at Grammy and Pop-Pop's house so they could have some time on their own to have a little fun. Saturday, we had a nice time at the playground and today, we went to Chuck E. Cheese right before we went back home.
This was my Little Sister Sophia's first time at CEC and she explored the place from the ground up with Grammy. While they were doing that, me and Pop-Pop played a driving game together that was a lot of fun. Then, me and my little sister played some skee-ball, while Pop-Pop did something called "shooting hoops". After that, each of us took a turn sitting with Pop-Pop in something Grammy called a "virtual roller coaster". It scared my little sister a bit, but not me. And, of course, no visit to CEC would be complete without a few trips down the ol' slidin' board and then, it was time to head for home.
As always, Grammy was on the camera while we were at CEC and here are some of the pics that she took. Needless to say, we had a great time, but we especially hope that Mommy and Daddy had fun this weekend too. By the time you read this post, we will be back at home, celebrating the rest of this anniversary weekend with them!

My Little Sister Is Here (Part 1)!

Sophia Ina Skeete
May 1, 2009 @ 4:26am
6lbs + 15ozs; 19 + 1/2 inches

My Mommy went to the hospital yesterday afternoon to have my little sister. My Dad is at the hospital too and I'm at my Grammy and Pop-Pop's house right now. Mommy called us on the phone at 4:30am this morning to tell us that little Sophia was here.

My little sister's first and middle names are very special because "Sophia" is my Mommy's middle name and "Ina" is my Nana's (Dad's Mom) first name. Because she was born on May 1st, Grammy said that she is something called a "Taurus" (The Bull), just like her Daddy! What in the world is that, Grammy?

Grammy is going to work today so, it's Me & Pop-Pop Day! We are planning to go and meet my little sister when Grammy gets off from work. You know that Grammy will be taking the camera so, be sure to check back later for pics of little Sophia!

Yesterday was Family Movie Day. Mommy and Daddy took
The Booga Wooga & Little Sister Sophia to see Big Hero 6!

And, while they went to the movies, Little Sister Alexis
had Grammy & Pop-Pop all to herself for a Just Me Day!

The Booga Wooga & Little Sister Sophia really like the movie
and Little Sister Alexis had a great time with Grammy & Pop-Pop!

Can You Tell Me How To Get To...?

Today, my Mommy, Dad, little sister Sophia, Grammy, Pop-Pop, and me all went on a trip to Sesame Place. Sometimes, I like to watch Sesame Street and Elmo's World on TV but, this was much better. When we got there, it looked like a really fun place to be and there were lots of things to do and ride on. Here are some of the pics that Grammy took of our day together.

The first thing I saw that I wanted to ride on was a roller coaster called the "Vaper Trail". You know that I really like anything that runs on tracks so, I was really excited when I saw it. Mommy got on it with me and it took us way up high in the air. Then, all of a sudden, it took us down a hill really fast and around lots of twists and turns! After the ride was over, my Dad wanted to take me back on it but, I wasn't sure if I wanted to ride it again so, we moved on to something else.

The next thing that I wanted to ride on was the "Merry-Go-Round". I really like riding on them a lot and wherever I see one, I have to get on it. After the Vapor Trail, riding up and down on a slow-moving horse seemed like a good idea to me and it was really more my speed. Pop-Pop got on it with me and we rode on it many times before we left the park. My Dad also got on it with my little sister so, I am proud to say that she had her first ride on a merry-go-round today!

The next thing that caught my eye was the front end of a bright red fire engine truck. I'm not too sure where the back end of it was but, I saw a seat and something called a "steering wheel" so, I wanted to get on it. Pop-Pop sat next to me and both us pretended that we were firemen on a fire truck.

Then, it was time to have some fun in the water so, we all went over to something called "The Count's Splash Castle". For some reason, it always takes me a while to warm-up to the idea of playing in water and I like to do it in my own time and in my own way. So, I ran around the edge of the water play area for a little while and then, I decided to go for it. I had a lot of fun running in and out of the water on my own. My Mommy, Dad, and Pop-Pop had their fun on the water slides and standing under the "big bucket" waterfall.

Grammy didn't plan on getting in the water today so, she took my little sister on a stroll around the park while the rest of us played in the water. By the time they came back to the water play area, everyone decided that they were hungry so, we all went to a place called "Sesame Cafe" and had some lunch. After we ate, me and my little sister hung out with Grammy and Pop-Pop so, my Mommy and Dad struck out on their own for a little while. I guess my little sister got tired from all of that "strolling" around the park and finally fell asleep. She was a real "trooper" today!

Shortly after that, it started to rain so, we had to cut our trip short and head for home. It was a fun day just the same, and we all had a great time!

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN

Lord Jesus, You were never too busy to pay attention to children, for You dearly loved them. We are happy that you love us and that You have time to listen to our prayers and to answer them. We thank You that You have made us Your own. As we get bigger and stronger every day, help us to grow stronger in our faith too. Bless our parents, whom You have given to us, and help us to respect and obey them, to love and treasure them. Forgive us when we disobey them or when we fail to respect them as Your previous gifts to us. Give them the wisdom to train us in the good and right way. Bless our home and every member of our family with a strong faith in You and true love to one another. Teach us to be kind, unselfish, helpful, cheerful, forgiving, and faithful in our duties. Help us to be like You, Lord Jesus, to grow in wisdom and character and in favor with God and all people. Send Your angels to watch over us, to keep us from all harm of body and soul. Bless us, and make us a blessing to our family and friends. Amen.

Thank you for stopping by and come back again!
